Since 1975, the Mechanical Service Contractors of America has provided large
and small heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration service
contractors with management and marketing tools, training and education programs,
and government and labor relations. MSCA has more than 1,400 contractor members
and is a subsidiary of the Mechanical Contractors Association of America.
MSCA provides its members with a variety of educational materials and events uniquely tailored to the
needs of the mechanical service contractor. This includes:
- An annual educational conference
- Regional seminars and training for service managers, sales personnel,
dispatchers and more
- Printed and electronic publications, including labor estimating guide,
basics of service management, hazardous materials transportation guide and
- A comprehensive group of safety programs and training materials

MSCA's strong partnership with the United Association (UA) provides
members with numerous mutually beneficial labor/management initiatives that
promote a positive working relationship. MSCA and the UA work together to provide:
- The National Service and Maintenance Agreement
- Schedule "A" addendums for local and regional requirements
- UA STAR certification exam
- Recruitment of technicians

MSCA is continually in front of key national issues affecting the HVACR industry
and works to provide members with the support and resources necessary to stay
in compliance. MSCA represents its contractor members on governmental, legal
and legislative issues and keeps members informed on key developments that affect
MSCA and the UA's joint service technician recruitment program features a
turn-key kit of marketing materials to build awareness for the industry and
the benefits of becoming a union technician.
